Children's Classes
Our philosophy and class synopsis is:
- Hands-on learning each class.
- Math skills including addition, logical thinking, and fractions.
- Emphasis on healthy cooking, menu preparation and eating.
- Introduction of new foods each class.
- Increased culinary vocabulary and reading comprehension skills from using recipes.
- Sense of how to be a team player, take turns, and work together.
- Innovative ways to learn including games and contests that will reinforce what the children have learned and help them better retain the information.
- A sense of responsibility that comes with following directions and delegating tasks.
- A sense of accomplishment by being able to make their own food at home.
- Familiarity and willingness to try new foods and understanding of different cooking techniques and processes.
- A better understanding of nutrition.
- Learning plate presentation to make food more appealing and more likely to be eaten.
- Learning table manners, restaurant etiquette, proper table setting and napkin folding to enhance dinner time.
Class Information:
- Classes are held on Monday evenings from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at our location - 1592 S.E. Village Green Drive just East of US 1 in Port St. Lucie, Florida 34952
- All classes are $20.00.
- Please call 335-1699 to register for your class.
- When attending a cooking class, please dress comfortably in clothes that can get dirty. Aprons will be provided. Please wear comfortable close-toed shoes .
- We offer a wide variety of products for sale in our office. Please take a moment to browse.
- Multiple Class Discount – Register for multiple classes and receive a 10% discount per class.
- Bring a Friend – When two people register for classes, they both receive a 10% discount.
