Folker Raynolds, Chef-Owner has over 25 years of Food Service experience, a culinary degree from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York, and a certification of CWC (Certified Working Chef) by the ACF (American Culinary Federation).

Established over 25 years ago in Virginia, Silver Platter arose from Folker’s workplace. It became necessary to help the CEO and his VP’s at their home functions. Working for this group was particularly challenging because of the demand for fresh foods. Over time this became the only way we would prepare food.
When choosing a caterer there are many things to consider: experience, knowledge, caring, and cost. We bring all these elements to your function. With over 25 years of experience from a Culinary-trained chef, we not only provide superior cuisine, but also meticulous attention to details. When preparing for your party we work with you to capture the ambience and feel of your party so that the whole experience is remembered for a long time!
We do this being true to our philosophy which, over the years, has been to use the freshest food available and the least amount of preservatives. If a menu calls for turkey we use only fresh roasted turkey breasts separated from the bone and sliced. The need for original, high quality, healthy, freshly prepared food and convenience will always be in demand. We will continue in that vain.
